Rachel is a dynamic leader who possesses great initiative and passion for the game of hockey. She has a deep interest in hockey analytics and coaching and aims to work in either hockey operations or media.

 

She possesses a high level of knowledge of the game of hockey and uses statistics and video to explain the game and events that occur within it.  She believes dumping the puck is one of the biggest mistakes you can make on a power play and PDO is a good measure of puck luck.​

 

As a freshman in college she led the Wildcat hockey beat for the Arizona Daily Wildcat in Fall 2017, and in Spring of 2018 was named sports editor while finishing out the season as the hockey beat writer. While spending time as an editor, she learned she has a passion for being a leader and mentoring others, which shone through when she held a desk of 10+ writers to deadlines and high-expectations in both quality and quantity of content.

 

She is currently a Pre-Business major at the University of Arizona and plans on applying for professional admissions for the Eller College of Management in Spring 2018. She plans on majoring in Business Management with a certificate in Sports Management and a minor in economics
